Rabin became a medical doctor in 1974 when he graduated from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, formerly known as The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at Los Angeles County +USC Medical Center, also known as Los Angeles County General, a 600-bed public teaching hospital located in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. It is jointly operated by Los Angeles County Department of Health Services and the University of Southern California. Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Stephen S. Rabin is a member of the Los Angeles OBGYN Society as well. He attributes his success to his education and training, dedication and love for his specialty, and staying at the forefront of the industry through his academic position.
